Vega created the Froot Loops mascot, who remains the star of television commercials for the Kellogg’s brand cereal and whose image fronts the cereal box. Despite his early success as a commercial illustrator, Vega left advertising to become an art instructor for youth, with the aim of supporting the work of promising young artists.
