A pioneer in universal design, Harrison relied on hand-motion studies to redesign the Cuisinart food processor to meet the needs of consumers with disabilities. The result was the DLC-X, which combined ease of use and attractive design. It has been featured in shows at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of Art.
