I knew Donald Hall designed the Spirit, but didn’t know he went to Pratt.
What a magnificent achievement to be the designer of the plane that took Charles Lindbergh on the first solo trans-Atlantic fight to France. I lived on Long Island, where he took off from, for over 60 years and waited in vain for them to erect a museum to commemorate this great feat. Instead, they built a shopping mall with a plaque in a department store stating “Lindbergh took off from this spot!!”. You have to go to San Diego where the plane was built to see a museum and a proper acknowledgement of Donald Hall’s and Charles Lindbergh ‘s great place in American history. Shame on your shortsightedness, Long Island. Thank you Pratt Institute for recognizing this great feat.
